This is an early 1950s Otis King Model L Type B series cylindrical calculator, with the defining characteristics of a type B being the screws that hold the two-part cursor together and the top cap marked 'Made In England'.

Made by Carbic Limited London, the serial number is P0629 and bears scales 429 on the bottom and 430 on the top.

This particular example is in good order with all scales in clean, legible condition and free of any scuff marks, as well as the black and nickel barrels having no paint or plating loss.

In good working order, it comes in its original cardboard box, together with a copy of a four page instruction leaflet and a copy of a marketing flyer.
