This is an upright version of a medium speed air meter by Negretti & Zambra, and comes with its original spigot inside the leather case.

The dial reads 'No 6213, AIR METER TO 100,000 FEET, NEGRETTI & ZAMBRA LONDON' and incorporates 3 subsidiary dials measuring 100's 1000's and 10,000's, with a large sweep hand which is graduated from 0 - 100.

The aluminium vanes are complete and spin very easily to give a reading from even a gentle breeze. In full working order, all dials register as they should and reset fully and the instrument is in very clean condition, with the blackened brass body retaining much of its original finish.

The leather case is also in good condition with intact stitching, and the air meter comes with a reproduced copy of an instruction sheet. Weighs 570 grams in its case.
