Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These are the terms that will govern any contract between you and us for the sale of the products displayed on this web site. We may amend these terms from time to time by placing appropriate notification on this page.

Security
Scientific Collectables does not store your debit or credit card details, these are only seen by Paypal our card payment processor. Your credit card details are transmitted directly to Paypals' secure server which uses 128 bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to process card transactions from our website, having the same high standard as Internet banking. Payment details are captured within Paypals' Services secure EPDQ infrastructure and therefore you have 100% security and confidence

Please be aware that all card details are subject to a number of verification processes. This protects both you and us, reducing the opportunity for fraudulent transactions. We do not see any personal data from these checks, although we are made aware if there are any anomalies, and will contact you to clarify anything which seems unusual.

If you pay by cheque, it's simply a case of selecting the cheque payment option from the shopping basket and then posting a cheque to us. All we need is the address from your order, no more personal details are required.

We reserve the right to refuse an order if there are any payment verification problems. Any money which has been collected by credit/debit card payments will be refunded in this case

Please note if paying by credit card, we can only ship to the billing address of the credit card.

V.A.T
Scientific Collectables is not registered for V.A.T, therefore none is included or charged.

Delivery Schedule
Most orders are normally shipped within 3 working days of your cleared payment. UK orders are shipped by either Royal Mail Special delivery or Standard letters/parcels, and transit times range from 1 to 5 working days. Overseas shipments are by International Signed For airmail, or special Couriers and can take between 5 to 12 working days subject to destination. Notification of despatch will be emailed to you shortly after the order has been shipped.
All goods are sent insured for loss in transit, however glass components are not covered for in transit damage, but we do pack our parcels very well and have yet to make any claims for any losses or transit damage. In the unlikely event of receiving a damaged product, please retain all packaging until any claim has been concluded, and where possible take photos of the parcel to illustrate any obvious container damage.
Please note that the above transit times are guidelines, and subject to the performance of the relevant mail services which are outside of our control, and as such Scientific Collectables cannot accept any liability for consequential loss of any late or damaged shipments, however caused.

Customs duties
International customers please be aware that import duties, taxes & charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. Such charges where levied are the buyer's responsibility, so please check with your country's customs office to determine what additional costs if any may be due, before making your purchase.

Duplicate orders
In the unlikely event that two people purchase the same product before the stock control system has reflected the sold status of that item, then it will be sold to the earliest purchaser as determined by the transaction time, and all monies refunded to the second purchaser.
