Ordering Information

Making an online purchase could not be easier. Just browse the website, and click on any items you wish to buy that have the "Add to Basket" button displayed in the status box, and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, choose the shipping option that applies to your country, and you will see the total P&P for your purchase, and then click on "Checkout". At this point you will need to supply a few details that are needed to satisfy the order, and then you will be prompted to select your payment method. If you elect to pay by credit or switch card, you will directed to Paypals secure payment server, for online card processing. If your preference is a cheque or money order payment, you will be instructed on how to pay. In the unlikely event that two people purchase the same product before the stock control system has reflected the sold status of that item, then it will be sold to the earliest purchaser, and all monies refunded to the second purchaser.

If you do not wish to use the shopping cart:
Contact me via email, include your full name and address, and indicate your preferred method of payment. I will email you back with confirmation that the item is still available, along with the total price to pay, and the item will then be reserved for you for a specific period awaiting your payment. The item will then be shown in the status field as: Reserved
Please note also, some of the heavier items for sale on the site (eg mechanical calculators) are not available through the online shopping cart as the overseas shipping charges can vary significantly according to destination. Where this is the case the 'Add to Basket' button will not be present, but the status field will show 'For Sale'. For these items you can use the email contact system as above. Payment methods are the same for both Cart and Non Cart purchases.

Shipping costs for individual items are as illustrated against each item, with different rates for UK and Overseas.
(Until further notice UK orders over £50 are free!) If buying more than one item, then shipping costs will in many cases proportionately reduce, according to the total weight of the order.

Methods of Payment: For both Cart and non Cart purchases.

THERE ARE NO PAYMENT SURCHARGES.

• Paypal online credit card payments must be in £GBP- Shipping within 2-3 days after confirmation of payment.
• Personal cheque in £ sterling - Shipping after cheque clearance, usually 5-7 working days.
• Personal cheque in $ US dollars - Shipping after cheque clearance, usually 10-14 working days.
• International Money Order in £GBP- Shipping after clearance, usually 4 working days.
  

Shipping Methods.
For items below 2kgs in weight, shipping within the UK and Europe will normally be by Royal Mail Special Delivery or International Registered, above this weight, Standard parcels or Parcelforce will be used. Other overseas destinations including USA will be by Royal Mail Airsure, or Parcelforce.You can of course arrange your own shipping if you wish.

Scientific Collectables operates on a mail order basis, and is unable to cater for personal callers under any circumstances. Please note this well to avoid disappointment.
